How do I get to Phong Nha?
You can fly to Dong Hoi and we can arrange transport pick up and drop off for you , or you can catch the train or bus and once again we can organise this for you. Please just contact our reception staff for all transport need and they will take all the worry of getting you where you need to go
When should I visit Phong Nha-Ke Bang?
During the dry season, which spans from April to August, Phong Nha enjoys sunny weather with minimal rainfall. Temperatures range from 30 – 35. This period is perfect for outdoor activities and cave explorations, as the dry trails make it easier to traverse the park's natural wonders.
Wet season is October to December; this is when the heavy rains fall.
How long should I spend in Phong Nha?
As well as visiting some of the breath-taking world-famous caves, there are lots of other interesting things to do in the area, so we suggest a minimum of 2 to 4 days. That way you are not rushed and can experience some amazing places at a comfortable pace.
What else is there to do in the area apart from caves
There is so much to do in the area, you could stay for a fortnight and still not do them all. To name a few, you can visit: Tang’s Farm and find out what rural life is all about, even ride a buffalo! Local markets – local fresh produce, clothing and craft Bong Lai village, Botanical Gardens, Hava Valley Zipline, DMZ – Ben Hai River and Vinh Moc tunnels, Pub with Cold Beer, Ozo Park, Mooc Springs – refreshing cool and crystal clean water in which to swim, Nat Le Beach at Dong Hoi 30 mins – uncrowded and warm water. You can also go: Kayaking, Hiking, Cycling.
What should I pack?
This depends on what sort of activities you are going to partake in. But a good pair of trekking shoes won’t go astray, Wet weather poncho, Comfortable hiking clothing, Bathers/swimmers, Sun screen, Mosquito repellent, Sun hat.
